THE PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER PART 1

Marian cried as the nurse announced to her that her baby had given up and did not cry at all. " No! Nurse! Do something! I cannot go home without my baby! This is the only chance to grab Steve as my husband. You may not understand! Please! Give me a baby to go home with!"

Nurse Bisi advised her to calm down first, as she was still bleeding heavily from forceful delivery. As Marian was seriously troubled and refused to be consoled, Nurse Bisi had to give her sedatives ( sleeping drugs). Marian, then slept off after a while.

She slept for about one hour, thirty minutes and woke up. She started crying again, for her lost new born baby. This time, Nurse Bisi asked her some questions and she began to narrate her story as

follows:

" My husband to be Steve and I have been dating for close to ten years, from far back out undergraduate days. He said until I get pregnant for him, he was not going to propose to me because his elder brother made a silly mistake of marrying a lady who had no womb.

His elder brother had himself entangled in a white wedding, a traditional marriage and a court marriage.

He found it difficult to divorce the lady in as much as their traditional marriage was sealed with a ring from Ayelala shrine (the shrine of a deadly traditional deity).

In addition to that, his elder brother and his wife vowed before Ayelala shrine never to quit the union for better, for worse, till death. The secret involvement in the shrine was initiated by the lady (the bride), having known that she had lost her womb in an abortion.

So, Steve (my fiance), had learnt a great deal of lessons from his elder brother's mistake. He therefore, had three ladies as girl friends to choose one of us. I was the first, and has really known, loved and understood him so well that I could not leave him for another man.

My parents as devoted pentecostal christians, did not support sex or pregnancy before marriage. So, I had to stay away from it.
