Residents of Kaduna State adhered to the movement restrictions imposed by the government on Saturday to ensure peaceful and orderly local government elections.
Saturday Telegraph previously reported that the Kaduna State Security Council had announced a restriction on movement from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, to prevent any potential security issues. Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, explained that the measure was necessary to safeguard the election process.
Citizens complied by staying off the streets, while eligible voters proceeded to polling stations to cast their ballots.
