Champions League: Mourinho wins first Fenerbahce game in qualifier

Edin Dzeko grabbed a hat-trick as Fenerbahce came from behind to beat Lugano 4-3 in a UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg.It was Jose Mourinho’s first win in a competitive game in charge of the Turkish club.

Ayman El Wafi gave the Swiss side an early lead, but Dzeko replied with two goals either side of half-time.

Uran Bislimi levelled for the hosts, before Dzeko completed his hat-trick.

A goal from Ferdi Kadioglu made it 4-2 with 17 minutes left.

However, Lugano did not give in with Milton Valenzuela, scoring in the fourth minute of stoppage time.Fenerbahce will now take their slender lead back to Istanbul.
